The curtain has fallen on the national idea pitching competition "CreaVenture 3.0." Organized by the Dhaka University Entrepreneurship Development Club (DUEDC), the month-long, three-phase event was presented by Trust Bank in partnership with Southeast Bank, culminating in a grand closing ceremony.
The event was strategically partnered with the Idea Project of the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) under the ICT Division. The closing ceremony of "CreaVenture 3.0" took place on Saturday evening, May 18, at a hotel in Dhaka.
Since 2021, this initiative has been creating a platform to foster innovative thinking among students. Continuing that legacy, CreaVenture 3.0 was successfully organized for the third time this year.
The Chief Guest of the closing ceremony, Mr. Ranjit Kumar, Executive Director (Grade-1) of BCC, highlighted that every innovative idea serves as a unique solution to a problem. He emphasized the importance of recognizing the dedication and determination of entrepreneurs, as they strive to transform the world through their ideas. He concluded by thanking the young participants for their active involvement in such initiatives.
With the goal of nurturing student innovation and providing a platform for presenting unique startup ideas, the competition saw participation from over 400 teams ranging from college to undergraduate levels. The event featured a combination of bootcamps, training sessions, networking opportunities, certificates, and attractive prizes, generating strong enthusiasm among participants.
In the first phase, participants attended six online sessions led by distinguished speakers who shared insights into various aspects of entrepreneurship. The top 20 teams advanced to a bootcamp organized by the ICT Division's Idea Project, while the top 10 teams received an additional bootcamp opportunity at the Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC). In the second phase, after evaluation of presentations, 8 teams advanced to the final round.

Distinguished guests present at the grand finale included Professor Dr. Rafiuddin Ahmed, Moderator and Chief Patron of DUEDC; Mr. Siddhartha Goswami, Consultant and Head of Operations of the Idea Project; and Mr. Dipesh Nag, Managing Director of Grameen Danone Foods Limited.
